Saturday's Battle Proms at Hatfield House. Quite a lively and patriotic crowd and good to see people enjoying themselves.

Finally, I have some new(ish) camera gear to play around with. I'm a big fan of the Panasonic Leica Lumix range. They're great for keeping handy in your bag and I've now opted for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX100 It's not the new kid on the block from Lumix but it does fit into your top pocket rather nicely. Here's a few test shots from Lloyd Park.

Here we are, Prince William and Kate Middleton watching the Wimbledon final. I thought they looked pretty cool for school in their Ray-Ban's and they reminded me of the Sonic Youth 'Goo' album. Tah-da, Royal Youth.
As you can see I'm a bit of a lost soul without my cameras so bare with me if I go a little off-piste this week.

Today marks the date of the Allied invasion of Sicily. After reading Whicker's War I put together a photo gallery mainly comprising of AFPU photos with a couple of colour American army photographs for the Daily Express. If this is your thing then you can see the gallery here.
As mentioned in a previous blog post my luggage has now officially gone missing, along with some of my cameras, lenses and camera chargers that were in my luggage. Hopefully I'll be up and running in the week but until then I'll be raising a glass to the brave souls who witnessed the Sicilian and Italian conflicts of World War 2.

Saturday was a good night to escape the madness of Brexit by catching a few live bands with all proceeds going to War Child. On the bill was Rowan And The Crops Failed, Charlene with The Yet Men headlining. All happening at the Albany on Great Portland Street.
You're never to far from a William Eggleston
Dug out the old Heave t-shirt for the gig. What with my luggage missing I'm a bit short on camera stock, so I headed out tonight with the Nikon D610 and the 50m lens
Nice to see the new school armed with cameras too

Spotted these today at Liverpool street. They're part of #wearehere , a live memorial to the battle of the Somme. I was running late today and when I noticed them and it did make me think just how lucky I am to be running late a 100 years on. I guess it has been a very long week.
